Australia’s opening batsman David Warner and girlfriend Candice Falzon are set to tie the knot on Saturday, and they couldn't wait to share the news on social media just one day before their surprise wedding.
Warner and Falzon have retreated to a rural New South Wales town before the batsman marries his Australian Ironwoman fiancee and mother to their seven-month-old daughter Ivy Mae.
After sharing a photo taken at the local pub with his 'new father-in-law', the proud husband-to-be took to Instagram to share a shot of the couple.
Warner tweeted the picture and wrote: “Last night before we are husband and wife, can't wait for the big day.”
Warner also confirmed that his wife to be would soon share the same name as the batsman and their daughter, tagging Falzon in the picture and adding that she is soon to be 'Warner'.
The couple has been together 18 months since they met in 2013.
Warner had revealed in an interview last month that after just six months of dating that he knew Falzon had become the person he could spend the rest of his life with after previously thinking he would never wed.
Warner had said that he was just grateful for that opportunity to actually have Falzon in his life, to be able to ask her. He claimed that he never thought he would get on one knee to anyone really.
Meanwhile, Falzon said that she honestly never thought that she would have kids or get married, adding that for her, meeting Warner just changed everything.
The couple have reportedly granted a women's magazine coverage of their wedding for up to Aus $5,00,000.
