The Indian team management's dilemma over Virender Sehwag's opening partner was evident during the training session as both Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan were seen spending considerable time at the nets ahead of the first Test match against Australia on Friday.
While Vijay was the first to enter the nets and batted for a long time, he extended his session further taking throwdowns from the net bowlers.

Delhi left-hander Dhawan batted later on but did spend a fair amount of time in the middle. After his first knock at the nets and after the session was over, he was seen having a serious discussion with coach Duncan Fletcher.
The Indian team had their usual session at the Chepauk as the players went through their regular bump and grind routine.
Pacer Ishant Sharma slogged the most among the pace trio as he was seen bowling in one of the nets for the longest time.
Among the quartet of spinners, Ravindra Jadeja bowled the maximum while Ravichandran Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha also spent a fair bit of time bowling to the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli.
