Indian captain MS Dhoni is confident that his inexperienced bowling attack will deliver in the four-Test series against Australia which starts on December 26.
Apart from the experienced trio of Zaheer Khan, Pragyan Ojha and Ishant Sharma, the team includes a relatively inexperienced line-up of Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Vinay Kumar and Abhimanyu Mithun.
"The bowlers are talented and of course when you don't have your main bowlers, you need a bit of time. Once the youngsters play more and more games, that's how they get experience at the top level," Dhoni told reporters in a pre-departure press conference in Chennai.
The first Test will in Melbourne will be followed by matches in Sydney (January 3-7), Perth (January 13-17) and Adelaide (January 24-28).
The series will be followed by two Twenty20 internationals and an ODI tri-series, also featuring Sri Lanka.
