International Cricket Council pitch consultant Andy Atkinson on Thursday inspected the under-renovation Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

The pitch at the Wankhede, which will host the 2011 World Cup final, is ready but work on the outfield is still going on.

Atkinson, who is touring all the venues as part of preparations for the World Cup, however, refused to comment on his observations.

"I cannot comment at the moment. I will prepare a report and then submit it," Atkinson said in Mumbai.

Atkinson, who was accompanied by his colleague, Eugene van Vuuren, has earlier visited the Sardar Patel stadium at Motera, Bangalore's Chinnaswamy stadium, MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai and the Ferozshah Kotla stadium in Delhi.

He is scheduled to visit Kolkata, another venue which is undergoing renovation, for the World Cup.

Atkinson will visit all the other venues in the coming days before heading to Sri Lanka, after which he will file a comprehensive report on his findings.
