Ashwin, Mishra have Bangladesh in a twirl

When India won their match against the West Indies, they already had one foot in the World T20 semis.

Friday's victory in Mirpur against hosts Bangladesh firmly sealed the last four berth.

On both occasions it was the spinners who bowled the team to victory. Ravichandran Ashwin and Amit Mishra had the Bangladesh batsmen bamboozled in Friday's outing.

Ashwin started the rut for Bangladesh, dismissing Tamim Iqbal, their most consistent batsman against India, for 6. 

That dismissal was after Shikhar Dhawan wasted an easy run-out opportunity when the batsman was at the non-striker's end. 

Ashwin induced an edge of Tamim’s bat and had him caught smartly by Suresh Raina in the slips. 

Shamsur Rahman played an irresponsible shot and gave Ashwin his second wicket off the next delivery. In the end his figures read: 4-0-15-2.

Mishra, who is India's bowler-in-form was introduced as late as the tenth over and struck in his second, castling a well-set Anamul Haque with a flipper.

Back again in the final over, he outsmarted Nasir Hossain and had him stumped with a classic leg-spinner.

Ziaur Rehman followed Hossain back in the urge to get some quick runs as Mishra finished with figures of 4-0-26-3.
