Bangladesh have called up uncapped opening batsman Anamul Haque as back-up for injury doubt Tamim Iqbal for the second test against West Indies, team officials said on Tuesday.
Tamim is nursing an elbow problem and will undergo a fitness test to determine his availability for the second test beginning in Khulna on Wednesday.
"Tamim sustained a muscle tendon injury during the first test on his left elbow. He will do a fitness test later today (Tuesday) or early tomorrow morning," team physio Vibhav Singh told reporters.
Khulna Division batsman Anamul, top scorer at the ICC Under-19 World Cup in August, scored two centuries in his last three first-class matches and the 19-year-old has already joined up with the squad.
West Indies lead the two-match series 1-0.
