November 24, 2024

The anticipation is palpable as the IPL 2025 Mega Auction kicks off. Arshdeep Singh, the promising Indian left-arm seamer, is the first player to enter the auction arena with a base price of Rs 2 crore.

A tense silence fills the room as franchises assess their strategies. Chennai Super Kings break the ice with the first bid, quickly followed by Delhi Capitals, igniting a bidding war. The price escalates rapidly, with CSK currently leading the charge at Rs 4 crore.

Stephen Fleming makes his move once more, pushing the bid up to ₹6.25 crore as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) go head-to-head for the services of the T20 World Cup winner. The intensity rises as DC surge ahead, taking the lead at Rs 7.5 crore.

Finally, CSK bows out of the race.

But wait here's a twist! Gujarat Titans (GT) enter the fray, adding a new layer of excitement. Ashish Nehra, true to form, has his sights set on another left-arm quick. The bidding war escalates rapidly, with DC now battling GT as the figure races towards the Rs 10 crore mark.

And just like that, Arshdeep Singh becomes a crorepati, solidifying his status as one of the most sought-after bowlers in the auction!

Sunrisers Hyderabad join the bidding war for Arshdeep, but Rajasthan Royals take a decisive step, bidding Rs 13 crore and issuing a strong warning to other franchises. However, SRH remains persistent, refusing to back down.

SRH leads the bidding for Arshdeep at Rs 15.75 crore.

However, a twist! Punjab Kings exercise their Right to Match (RTM) and secure Arshdeep for Rs 18 crore.
