AB de Villiers sells at record price

South Africa's batting mainstay AB de Villiers was purchased by Royal Challengers for a whopping $1.1 million.

De Villiers, who was named the ICC ODI player for 2010, started with a base price.

The right-hander is the sixth player to cross the million-dollar mark after Gautam Gambhir, Ross Taylor, Mahela Jayawardene, Yusuf Pathan and Yuvraj Singh.
