Putting all speculation into rest, Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders appointed New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum as captain of the team.
McCullum will replace Sourav Ganguly for the second edition of the tournament, which kicks-off in Cape Town on Saturday.
KKR meet Hyderabad Deccan Chargers in their opening match on April 19.
McCullum's appointment comes in the wake of Knight Riders coach John Buchanan pitching for multiple captains for the tournament.
