- Day's report | Images | Scorecard

1178 - Virender Sehwag's run-aggregate in Test matches in the year 2008 @ 65.44. He is now just one short of equalling Graeme Smith's record tally in this year.

516 - Target set by India - the highest they have ever set in the fourth innings against any side in Test cricket. The previous best was 509 against Sri Lanka at Ahmedabad in 2005-06.

418 - Highest fourth innings score in Test cricket for a winning side - made by West Indies v Australia at St. John's in 2003.

8 - Number of times Harbhajan Singh has dismissed Matthew Hayden - more than any other bowler. He was previously at level with fellow teammate Zaheer Khan and South Africa's Mkhaya Ntini.

5 - Wickets lost by Australia between 49 and 58; adding just 9 runs to the total - one of their worst ever top-order collapse.

4.83 - India's run-rate in the second innings - their highest against Australia in an innings of 300 or more.
