Lahore Badshahs, spurred by a captain's knock of 62 by Inzamam-ul Haq, sailed into the best-of-three-finals in the ICL's Twenty20 Championship.

In Monday's first semi-final, they defeated Chennai Superstars by six wickets at the Sardar Patel Stadium.

Chasing a victory target of 166 runs, Badshahs were home with seven balls to spare.

They will take on the winners of the Tuesday's second semi-final, to be played between Hyderabad Heroes and Royal Bengal Tigers.

Inzamam was adjudged man of the match for his match-winning 62 runs, off just 33, which included two towering sixes and eight boundaries.

Imran Farhat (45) and Mohammad Yousuf, who scored an unbeaten 28, were the other main contributors in Lahore's chase.

Imran's 45 runs came of 24 balls, inclusive of five boundaries and three sixes.

Earlier, after losing toss and batting first Chennai Superstars scored 165 runs for the loss of wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. They had good contributions from top and middle order batsmen Ian Harvey (29), Russel P Arnold (26), Hemang Badani (37) and Rajagopal Satish (37), but some fine bowling by Naved-ul Hassan (3-30) and Saqlain Mushtaq (2-26) restricted them.
