BCCI Chief Sharad Pawar is expected to discuss the controversial ban on Harbhajan Singh when top officials of the International Cricket Council meet in Dubai on Monday amidst the raging racism row and the umpiring blunders in the Sydney Test.

Although the meeting has been convened to discuss the modalities to select a new Chief Executive Officer for the game's governing body, Pawar is likely to take the opportunity to express BCCI's strong resentment over the racial slur against the off-spinner.

Apart from Pawar, ICC President Ray Mali, outgoing CEO Malcolm Speed and the Chairman of England and Wales Cricket Board David Morgan will attend the meeting.

All these top officials are members of a four-man committee to finalise the process and shortlist the nomination for selecting the new CEO.

An ICC spokesman said the date of the meeting was finalised before the Sydney Test and all the developments regarding umpiring and the ban on Harbhajan were not part of the agenda.

Asked specifically whether issues that have rocked international cricket following the Sydney Test would come up for discussion, the spokesman said "it is not on the agenda. The meeting will only discuss all matters related to the new CEO."

But considering the seriousness of the issue, the matter could come up for informal discussion on the sidelines.

The four-member committee will finalise the process and update the ICC's Executive Board when it meets in March at Dhaka.

The current CEO Speed will relinquish office after the ICC's Annual Conference at the Lord's in June.
