Statistical highlights of the tri-series one-day international between India and Sri Lanka in Hobart on Tuesday:

# India registered their second win in four games at Hobart. In their previous game at this venue against Zimbabwe on January 14, 2004, they had won by seven wickets.

# India's seven-wicket triumph is their biggest win against Sri Lanka in Australia, ahead of their two-wicket win at Adelaide on February 19, 2008.

# India have won 26 out of 68 played in Australia. (Lost 38, NR 3 and Tied 1).

# The aforesaid win is India's 51st out of 99 played against Sri Lanka (Lost 38, NR 10 - winning % 51.52).

# Sri Lanka's 179 is their lowest completed innings total against India in Australia.

# Ishant Sharma (4/41) produced his best bowling performance against Sri Lanka - his second best overall, next to his 4 for 38 against Australia at MCG on February 10, 2008.

# Praveen Kumar (4/31) registered his best bowling feat in Limited-Overs Internationals.

# Praveen was adjudged Man of the Match for the first time in ODIs.

# Gautam Gambhir is now the third Indian batsman to amass 400 runs (422 at an average of 70.33) in the triangular series in Austraila. He needs 22 runs more to overtake VVS Laxman's tally of 443 (ave.63.29) in 10 matches in 2003-04. Sachin Tendulkar made 401 (ave.44.56) in 10 matches in 1991-92.

# Sanath Jayasuriya, after posting 63 off 67 balls in the World Cup Final against Australia at Bridgetown on April 28, 2007, is without a fifty in his last 19 innings.

# In 50 matches in Australia, Jayasuriya has amassed 1,261 runs at an average of 27.41, with three centuries and five fifties.

# Chamara Kapugedera (57) registered his career-best score, his second fifty in ODIs. His previous highest was 50 againt Pakistan at Colombo, SSC on March 22, 2006.

# Mahendra Singh Dhoni, with three catches on Tuesday, took his tally of dismissals to 16 (14 catches + 2 stumpings) in the Commonwealth Bank series, emulating Rahul Dravid's Indian record for most dismissals in an competition/series. In the 2002-03 World Cup, Dravid had a hand in 16 dismissals in 11 matches.

# Dhoni became the second Indian wicketkeeper after Nayan Mongia (110) to take 100 catches as a wicketkeeper. He is the 17th wicketkeeper to accomplish the feat.

# Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir were associated in a 102-run partnership, India's best for the second wicket at Hobart, outstripping the 28 between Virender Sehwag and Hemang Badani against Zimbabwe on 14.1.2004.

# For India, three century stands have been recorded at Hobart - Sachin has the distinction of figuring in all three - 130 (1st wkt) with Virender Sehwag against Zimbabwe on 14.1.2004; 102 (3rd) with Sanjay Manjrekar against Australia on 10.12.1991; and 102 (2nd) with Gautam Gambhir against Sri Lanka at Hobart on February 26, 2008.

# In four innings at Hobart, Sachin Tendulkar has made 257 runs at an average of 64.25, including three fifties - 57 against Australia on 10.12.1991; 93 against Pakistan on 21.1.2000; 44 against Zimbabwe on 14.1.2004 and 63 against Sri Lanka on 26.2.2008. His tally is the best by an Indian at the venue.

# Of his nine fifties in Australia, Tendulkar has recorded four against Australia; two each against West Indies and Pakistan and one against Sri Lanka.

# Tendulkar has extended his record for most fifties to 88. His tally of 15 fifties against Sri Lanka is the most by him again any opponents, bettering his 14 fifties against Pakistan.

# Tendulkar has emulated the feats of Mohammad Azharuddin and Inzamam-ul-Haq. All three batsmen now now share the record for most half-centuries (15) against Sri Lanka.

# Kumar Sangakkara became the first Sri Lankan to aggregate 300 runs or more in the triangular series in Australia twice - 469 in 2005-06 and 315 in 2007-08.
