5th ODI: Sri Lanka elect to bat

Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat in the fifth and final one-day international against India in Colombo on Friday.

Having already won the series, India left out Subramaniam Badrinath, Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar and drafted in Pragyan Ojha, R P Singh and Irfan Pathan.

For Sri Lanka, Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas and Tillakaratne Dilshan made way for Dilhara Fernando, Jehan Mubarak and Mahela Udawatte.

India beat Sri Lanka by 46 runs in the fourth ODI on Wednesday to clinch the five-match series 3-1.

Teams:

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan, R P Singh, Zaheer Khan, Pragyan Ojha, Munaf Patel.

Sri Lanka: Mahela Jayawardene (captain), Sanath Jayasuriya, Malinda Warnapura, Kumar Sangakkara, Chamara Kapugedera, Michael Vandort, Mahela Udawatte, Nuwan Kulasekara, Thilan Thushara, Ajantha Mendis, Dilhara Fernando.
