A two-member team of International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday received tapes of alleged conversation between West Indies all-rounder Marlon Samuels and bookie Mukesh Kochar ahead of the January 21 ODI.

"We have handed over the tapes and transcripts to N S Virk -- regional security manager of Anti-Corruption Unit -- and his colleague Alan Peacock today," Zonal Deputy Commssioner of Police, Amitesh Kumar said.

Nagpur police which had recorded on January 19 and 20 the conversation between the punter and the player about the team composition for the match, had alerted the Board of Control for Cricket in India of alleged violation of ICC's code of conduct in the incident.

A four-member ICC team last month visited the city and held discussion with the top district police officials and had sought copies of the tapes.

The Nagpur police in turn sought permission from Home Ministry and External Affairs ministry for handing over the tapes.

The tapes were handed over after receiving necessary permission, Kumar said.
