Dravid in 10,000 runs club

India skipper Rahul Dravid on Wednesday became the sixth batsman in the world and the third from India to reach the landmark of 10,000 runs in one-day internationals during the third match against Sri Lanka in Goa.

Dravid, who needed 22 runs at the start of his innings, in his 309th ODI, achieved the landmark with a single off Sanath Jayasuriya, who is one of the six to have achieved the feat, in India's replied to Sri Lanka's total of 230 for 8.

Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, with 14,783 and 10,412 runs from 381 and 285 matches respectively, are the other two Indians who have crossed the milestone.

Other members of the 10,000 club are: Inzamam-ul Haq (Pak) 11665 runs in 374 ODIs; Jayasuriya (Sri Lanka) 11516, 378; and Brian Lara (West Indies) 10136, 290.
