December 28, 2007 20:40 IST

India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been charged with dissent following his reaction to an umpiring decison in the first Test against Australia.

Yuvraj, who is to attend a hearing with match referee Mike Procter, was charged after pausing for several seconds and taking his time leaving the ground when given out by umpire Billy Bowden just before tea on the second day.

His hearing with Procter was scheduled to take place following the conclusion of the third day's play on Friday.

India were 6-0 in their second innings, chasing 499 to win the Test, at the end of the day's play.
