UP all set for an outright win

Uttar Pradesh is all set to win their four-day Ranji Trophy Super League - Group B match against Hyderabad, as the hosts have to score a whopping 383 on the last day on Friday with eight wickets in hand.

Resuming at overnight score of 28 for no loss, Uttar Pradesh on Thursday declared their second innings after making 294 for three, setting a target of 438 to the hosts.

Captain Mohammed Kaif hit a century with eight fours and three sixes, while Ravikant Shukla made a brilliant 70 including six boundaries and one six. Among other batsmen, R Srivastava and T Srivastava made 56 and 54. The UP team had made 336 in their first innings.

For the hosts, P Ojha claimed two wickets, while Amol Shinde took one wicket.

Chasing a target of 438 runs, Hyderabad started their second innings on a disastrous note as they lost two wickets for 55 runs.

Opener Abhinav Kumar was dismissed for two runs, while Anoop Pai scored 24.

D Manohar (28) and S Shoaib (0) were at the crease when the stumps drawn.

Hyderabad made 193 in their first edition.
