India elect to bat at the Oval

Indian captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat in the third and final cricket Test against England at The Oval in London on Thursday.

Both India and England retained their teams that played the second Test at Trent Bridge which the visitors won last week to take an unassailable 1-0 lead.

Teams:

India: Rahul Dravid (captain), Wasim Jaffer, Dinesh Kaarthick, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Anil Kumble, Zaheer Khan, Rudra Pratap Singh and S Sreesanth.

England: Michael Vaughan (captain), Andrew Strauss, Alastair Cook, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Ian Bell, Matt Prior, Chris Tremlett, Ryan Sidebottom, Monty Panesar and James Anderson.
