A probing bowling spell by medium pacer Syed Shahabuddin helped Andhra Pradesh skittle out Saurashtra for a paltry 87 on the second day of their four-day Ranji Trophy Elite division match in Rajkot on Sunday.

Andhra were 87 for four in their second innings, losing skipper Venugopala Rao (21) and A S K Varma (36).

S Maniar and Sandip Jobanputra took two wickets each for Saurashtra.

The visitors' overall lead stood at 215 with six wickets in hand.

Saurashtra batsmen caved meekly even as Shahabuddin and Kalyankrishna struck at regular intervals.

Only Kanaiya Vaghela (30) and skipper Jaydev Shah (30, 6x4) reached double figures and put up some resistance.

Shahabuddn was the wrecker-in-chief claiming seven for 37 and was well supported by Kalyankrishna (3 for 25).
