A set of five players -- Ajit Agarkar, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Ramesh Powar and Mohammad Kaif -- would take the baton on Wednesday as the "rolling camp" ahead of next month's tri-nation series in Malaysia gets underway in Bangalore.
A brainchild of coach Greg Chappell, the build-up "rolling" camp for the tournament, also featuring Australia and the West Indies and to be played between September 12 and 24, will see the five undergoing training for two days.
Thereafter, a fresh batch of cricketers -- Munaf Patel, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rudra Pratap Singh, Suresh Raina and S Sreesanth -- are scheduled to "roll" for three days from September 2, according to National Cricket Academy sources.
"The final bunch of players-- Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, Dinesh Mongia and V R V Singh -- will have sessions on September 5 and 6," sources at the NCA, the venue of the camp, said.
The selectors are slated to choose the squad for the tri-nation event at Mumbai on September 3.
The selected players are expected to play two practice matches on September 8 and 9 at Chennai before proceeding to Malaysia.
