The Board of Control for Cricket in India will put in place a fresh set of players' contracts by November and work on the modalities would begin soon.
"Like last year the president, Ranbir Singh Mahendra, would form a committee that would have in it the selection committee chairman and coach (Greg Chappell) and there would be discussions with some senior players," BCCI Secretary S K Nair said from Thiruvananthapuram.
"The process of forming the committee and other modalities would start in a couple of weeks' time. The contracts would be put in place in November like last year," he said.
Last season, 17 players were given graded contracts by the Board with the top players put in the Rs 50-lakh retainership bracket, the middle level in the Rs 35-lakh group and the others in the Rs 20-lakh one.
