Sri Lanka elect to bat

Sri Lanka captain Marvan Atapattu won the toss and elected to bat on a strip that may provide early assistance to the fast bowlers at the IPCL Sports Complex in Baroda in the seventh and final ODI against India on Saturday.

India has already clinched the series with a 5-1 lead in the seven-ODI tournament.

The visitors left out out-of-form Sanath Jayasuriya, who was also axed from the Test squad for the Test series against India next month. Muttiah Muralitharan too hasn't recovered enough from the hamstring injury.

For India, Rahul Dravid came back to the side after resting in the sixth ODI in Rajkot. He comes in place of Gautam Gambhir, who performed well in the two chances that he got in the series.
