Indian speedster Zaheer Khan said on Monday that he was neither disappointed nor surprised at being ignored in the initial list of 30 ICC World XI probables chosen today for the Johnnie Walker Super Series against Ausralia in October.

"Right now I want to concentrate on my fitness. I am working towards that goal for the season ahead. This break has given me a chance to do so," the left-arm paceman said at the flag-off of the western region Airtel One India Challenge from Mumbai to Nagpur at the Cooperage football ground.

"I may go to train at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai," Zaheer said adding, he was yet to get an offer from any English county to play for them this season.

Khan was not picked in either the World Super Test squad or the three-match limited over series squad to take on world champions Australia at Sydney and Melbourne respectively.

The only Indian pace bowler to make it to both the preliminary squads chosen today by the six-member ICC panel headed by former India captain Sunil Gavaskar was fellow left-armer Irfan Pathan.

Khan said he also looked forward to working under a new national coach like his other Indian teammates.

"We had a wonderful time under John Wright for five years. Now a new coach will bring in new ideas and will introduce new ways of coaching. I look forward to it along with other players," he added.
