The Pakistan cricket team management has expressed its displeasure over the standard of umpiring in the Mohali Test by giving match umpires Rudi Koertzen and Darrell Hair negative ratings.

Bob Woolmer and Inzamam-ul-Haq have not only given negative ratings to the two umpires but also highlighted their concern over the fact that there was no consistency in the umpiring in the match, according to local daily The News.

"Given the strict code of conduct of the International Cricket Council governing players and officials, it was not unusual that no one in the Pakistan camp voiced his disapproval of the inconsistent umpiring standards in the first Test in Mohali," the paper said.

It also described Koertzen's decision to give Sachin Tendulkar not out in the first innings as a "shocker" after the champion batsman had got an inner edge off Danish Kaneria and also criticised Hair for giving Inzamam-ul-Haq leg before off Anil Kumble in the second inning when the Pakistan captain was on 86.

"Everyone saw what happened. Make your own judgement," Inzamam was quoted by the newspaper as saying when asked to comment on the standard of umpiring.
