Contract system: complete coverage

"As proposed by the players, the new grades will be Rs 50, 35 and 20 lakhs for the players who will be graded in three categories under the new contracts system," BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya said after a meeting of the Working Committee in Kolkata.

Dalmiya, however, said that the Board turned down the players' request to raise the match fee of the non-playing members of the team from 50 to 70 per cent of the money payable to the playing members.

"The non-playing members will get 50 percent of the match fee," Dalmiya said.
