Doubling up as wicketkeeper in one-dayers is something he is enjoying, says India vice-captain Rahul Dravid, adding he firmly believes that the needs and demands of the team must always come first.

"I am enjoying it", he told reporters when asked about his dual role, on the sidelines of a function in Bangalore on Saturday.

"I know now I have been doing the job for more than two years. I know that I will be doing it [in the future]; nothing new for me."

Skipper Sourav Ganguly had said recently that Dinesh Kaarthik would keep wickets only in case of an injury to Dravid in the three upcoming one-day tournaments, to be held in Holland and England.

Asked if it is time India goes in for a specialist wicketkeeper-batsman in one-dayers, Dravid replied that it is for the selectors to decide. But he hastened to add that he would not like to comment on it.

"At the moment I have been asked to do the job. I am quite happy to try and do my best. I know the needs and demands of the game. I know that the needs and demands of the team must always come first.

"So if the captain and management feel that the team needs me for wicket-keeping, I will try and do my best. I will practise and, hopefully, not make many mistakes," he said.
