October 22, 2003

Injured seamer Aavishkar Salvi has been replaced by Lakshmipathy Balaji in India's squad for the triangular one-day international against New Zealand on Thursday.

Salvi, picked for the tournament also involving Australia despite being ruled out of the second Test against New Zealand with a hand injury, has still not recovered, an Indian cricket board official said.

MumbaiĀ fast bowler Salvi had made his one-day debut in a triangular tournament in Dhaka in April.

The team:

Zaheer Khan
V V S Laxman
Virender Shewag
Harbhajan Singh
Anil Kumble
Murali Karthik
Parthiv Patel
