India to play in Dhaka tri-series

India will play a triangular one-day series involving South Africa and hosts Bangladesh in Dhaka next month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed on Wednesday.

South Africa withdrew earlier this week from a triangular series in Sharjah following the outbreak of war in Iraq.

The South Africans had been scheduled to play in the competition with Pakistan and Sri Lanka from April 1-10. Officials are reportedly trying to shift the tournament to Colombo now.

India were beaten by Australia in the final of the World Cup on Sunday. Hosts South

Africa and Bangladesh were knocked out in the group stage.

Itinerary (Dhaka one-day series):

April 11: India v Bangladesh

April 13: India v South Africa

April 14: Bangladesh v South Africa

April 16: India v Bangladesh

April 17: South Africa v Bangladesh

April 18: India v South Africa

April 20: Final

April 21: Reserve day
