During their meeting in October, Modi had discussed the Swachh Bharat campaign with Zuckerberg.

Little less than six months after Facebook chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, the two connected again on Wednesday.

Zuckerberg ‘liked’ Modi’s Facebook post on Varanasi.

The micro-site on Varanasi, the constituency from where Modi won the Lok Sabha elections last year, was launched on Wednesday.

The site, showcased by the Prime Minister’s Office, has been described as a ‘one stop destination for gathering all information’ about Modi’s constituency.

It talks about all the high-focus initiatives of this government including Swachh Bharat and digital India.

Without calling Varanasi a proposed smart city, the site mentions its collaboration with Japanese city of Kyoto.

During their meeting in October, the PM had discussed the Swachh Bharat campaign with Zuckerberg.

The Facebook CEO had told Modi that the social networking site wanted to work with India in the area of healthcare and education.

The new site has described Varanasi as the ‘land of spiritual and intellectual power’.

The PM has said, “Im sure you will like this specially created page (naren-dramodi.in/varanasi/) on my website, dedicated to Varanasi.”

While Modi managed over 1,00,000 likes within a few hours of the launch, Zuckerberg’s seems more than special.
