April 12, 2012 15:51 IST

Vodafone on Thursday launched a new facility for its postpaid customers across the country enabling them to get a new number when they relocate to different state.

"Through this service, we aim to provide our postpaid customers a hassle-free relocation experience and uninterrupted services on Vodafone," chief commercial officer at Vodafone India Sanjoy Mukerji said in a statement.

To avail the facility, company's

postpaid customer will need to apply for the service in his current location. The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) will communicate the Vodafone team in the new location, the statement said.

At the new location, company's executives will contact the customer, allocate a new number, change billing address, collect identity proof documents without interruption in the service and allow retaining the credit limit, it added.

This has been possible because Vodafone is present in all the 23 telecom circles and has a modern CRM system, Mukerji said.
