Bharti's private fixed line service provider Touchtel announced on Monday a rate cut of up to 50 per cent in international long distance calls for its customers in Delhi.
Touchtel's Delhi customers will now be paying Rs 9.40 per minute to the US, UK, Europe and Canada instead of the earlier Rs 14.40 per minute while call rates to South East Asian countries like Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malyasia and Thailand have been revised to Rs 12 per minute from the earlier Rs 24 a minute, a company statement said in New Delhi.
These rates are effective from the midnight of November 25-26 and will be applicable till the mid-night of January 15, 2004.
The new rates are customised to appeal to a larger base and the initiative further reinforce the company's promise to deliver the best value in market, Rajiv Kohli, CEO, Touchtel, northern region said.
