Tata Motors gets 1,000-car order

Mega Corporation, a Delhi-based radio-call car rental company, on Monday said it has placed an order for 1,000 Indigo Marina cars with Tata Motors to expand its fleet in Delhi, Chandigarh and Mumbai.

The entire order will be delivered by March 2007 and will require an investment of Rs 75 crore (Rs 750 million), Kunal Lallani, MD, Mega Corporation said.

"The delivery will be spread over the next 12 months and a part of the order will be used to enhance our fleet in Delhi and Chandigarh while the rest will be used for Mumbai where we will begin services shortly," Lallani said.

The company is currently offering car rental services in Delhi and Chandigarh. It will be expanding services in other cities like Bangalore and Chennai as well.
