Auto major Tata Motors has posted a 9.3 per cent increase in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005 at Rs 337.87 crore (Rs 3.38 billion) as compared to Rs 309.21 crore (Rs 3.09 billion) in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Revenues during the reporting quarter increased 15.30 per cent to Rs 4,781.31 crore (Rs 47.81 billion) as compared to Rs 4,145.35 crore (Rs 41.45 billion) in Q2 of FY-05, the company said in a release in Mumbai on Tuesday.
