Tata Motors on Monday said its global sales increased by 36 per cent in July to 90,646 units on robust demand for both commercial and passenger vehicles.
While sales of luxury sedans of Jaguar brand jumped by 26 per cent last month at 5,676 units, Land Rover sales were higher by 31 per cent at 13,710 units, it added.
It said total passenger vehicles sales stood at 50,070 units in July 2010, a growth of 42 per cent from the corresponding month last year.
Commercial vehicles sales were also up by 30 per cent to 40,576 units from the same month last year, it added.
The Tata Motors Group global sales comprises Tata, Tata Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range of commercial vehicles, Tata passenger vehicles along with the distributed brands in India, Jaguar and Land Rover.
During the April-July period, total vehicle sales rose 46 per cent at 3,39,824 units. While total passenger car sales increased by 53 per cent at 1,88,094 units, commercial vehicle sales jumped 38 per cent at 1,51,730 units in the first four-months of this fiscal.
