India is likely to become a hub for printing Asian editions of technical and speciality magazines following the decision to allow 74 per cent FDI in non-news and non-current affairs publications, Information and Broadcasting Minister Sushma Swaraj has said.
The Government's decision to open up the sector to FDI would give a boom to the Indian print industry, Swaraj said presiding over the Golden Jubilee celebrations of All India Federation of Master Printers here.
Foreseeing a revolution in the sector, she said the industry would be able to adopt latest technologies and compete with the best in the world.
