A flagship model of Skoda Auto brand, Skoda Superb represents the best mix of luxury, performance, safety, power and inner space and is available at a price of Rs 21.80 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai), Imran Hassen, managing director, Skoda Auto India said in Mumbai.
The Skoda Superb turbo diesel will be available in four colours, sahara beige, black magic, candy white and diamond silver.
"The diesel car market is growing sharply in India in the recent years and turbo diesel superb is the best expression of Skoda's technological capabilities and dedication to rebuilding the brand to its earlier excellence with the original superb name, which dates back to 1930s", he said.
The production capacity of Skoda Auto India was 50,000 and the company was looking forward to explore additional capacity, Hassen said.
"The ongoing expansion of our production capacity at our plant in Aurangabad is to facilitate our plans to introduce new products and technologies in the Indian market till the end of 2006 and further. This expansion will also help ourplans to export products in the South Asian region," he said.
