Bombay high court on Friday asked Mukesh Ambani-promoted Mumbai special economic zone company to approach the Supreme Court for direction to the state government on expediting land acquisition process.
The ruling came after Maha Mumbai SEZ Sangharsh Samiti, a local organisation opposing the SEZ, on Friday informed the high court that a public interest litigation relating to the project is pending before the Supreme Court.
The MSEZ had moved the high court seeking direction to the state government for speedy completion of land acquisition by the district administration for its SEZ coming up in Raigad district.
