Satyam Computer Services on Thursday reported a 23 per cent increase in consolidated net profit, after taxation and share of loss in associate company, at Rs 164.71 crore (Rs 1.64 billion) for the third quarter ended December 31, 2004, when compared with Rs 133.48 crore (Rs 1.33 billion) in the second quarter of the financial year 2004.
According to a release issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday, the company's total income increased to Rs 909.59 crore (Rs 9.09 billion) from Rs 696.21 crore (Rs 6.96 billion) in Q3 FY04.
Satyam, on a standalone basis, has reported a net profit of Rs 174.79 crore (Rs 1.74 billion) for the quarter ended December 31, 2004 as against Rs 145.87 crore (Rs 1.45 billion) in Q3 FY04.
The total income increased to Rs 893.85 crore (Rs 8.93 billion) from Rs 691.15 crore (Rs 6.91 billion) in Q3 FY04, the release added.
