In its bid to attract more air travellers, Air Sahara on Wednesday launched a new scheme linked with its bulk ticketing programmes like 'Sixer' and 'Square Drive' to encourage families to travel with frequent fliers.
"Almost all the schemes so far have focussed on the individual flier. This time we have come out with the 'Fly Your Family' scheme to attract the family members," Air Sahara chief Rono J Dutta said in New Delhi.
The new initiative allows the family to fly along with the individual, who travels on tickets purchased under the 'Sixer in the air' and 'Square Drive' schemes.
Under the 'Sixer' scheme, the passenger has to buy six tickets for Rs 36,000 or four under 'Square Drive' for Rs 26,500. One can avail the new scheme for family members by paying an additional Rs 15,000 for six coupons or Rs 10,000 for four coupons, along with the two schemes.
"So a ticket for a family member costs only Rs 2,500 for a domestic destination. The only condition is that they will have to travel together," Dutta said.
A maximum of three family members plus the original traveller under the two schemes would be allowed to fly under the new scheme.
