Reliance Industries Vice Chairman Anil Ambani would contest the Rajya Sabha elections as an independent candidate from Uttar Pradesh, an associate of Ambani said in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Ambani, who is also chairman and managing director of Reliance Energy, would be supported by Samajwadi Party and "others", he said but clarified that Ambani was not contesting as an SP candidate.
