Tata Motors Ltd's net profit zoomed to Rs 210.88 crore (Rs 2.11 billion) for the quarter ending December 31, 2003 as compared to Rs 75.71 crore (Rs 757 million) for the same period ending 2002.
The Tata group company announced an interim dividend of 40 per cent (Rs four per share), the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday.
Total income for the October-December 2003 period was Rs 3,414.92 crore (Rs 34.15 billion) as against Rs 2,194.34 crore (Rs 21.94 billion) in the same period last year.
