Reliance Industries Ltd has announced the following audited results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2008:

The company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 3912 crore (RS 39.12 billion) for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 3156 crore (Rs 31.56 billion) for the quarter ended March 31, 2007. Total income has increased from Rs 27573 crore (Rs 275.73 billion) for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 37575 crore (Rs 375.75 billion) for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.

The company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 19458 crore (Rs 194.58 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 11943 crore (Rs 119.43 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total income has increased from Rs 112171 crore (Rs1,121.71 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 134338 crore (Rs 1,343.38 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2008.

The group has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 19523 crore (Rs 195.23 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 12075 crore (Rs 120.75 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2007. Total income has increased from Rs 114424 crore (Rs 1144.24 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2007 to Rs 138371 crore (Rs 1383.71 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2008.
