Gas from RIL: NTPC to file petition

NTPC will file a special leave petition in the Supreme Court this week for procuring gas from Reliance Industries' KG-D6 at the contracted price of $2.34 per mmBtu.

"We will file SLP (in the Supreme Court) within the next 6-7 days," power secretary H S Brahma told reporters in New Delhi.

NTPC is fighting a case in the Bombay high court to get gas from RIL at a committed price of $2.34 per mmBtu.
