Tata Group Chief Ratan Tata met Communication and IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran on Wednesday and discussed wide ranging issues relating to spectrum policy and investments in the telecom sector.
"It was a courtesy call," said Tata after the 30-minute meeting.
"It was a courtesy meeting, conducted in the normal course of meetings Tata regularly has, in his capacity as Chairman of Investment Commission and Tata Sons," a Tata spokesperson said.
Asked whether Tata raised the issue of spectrum allocation policy, he declined to comment.
