The Lok Sabha on Tuesday approved the interim Railway Budget with a vote-on-account for Rs 26,000 crore (Rs 260 billion) for expenditure in the first four months of the next financial year.
The house also passed the Demands for Grants for 2004-05, Supplementary Demands for Grants 2003-04, Demands for Excess Grant 2001-02 of the Railways as also relevant appropriation bills by voice vote after a four-hour debate.
