Polaris chief Arun Jain and his colleague Rajiv Malhotra who were released by Indonesian police on Friday may get back their passports and other related documents on Monday, paving the way for their return to India on Monday night.

Jain, who along with Malhotra was detained in Jakarta for over a week following a commercial dispute with Bank Artha Graha, were released after diplomatic intervention.

Despite his release Jain's passport has not been restored leaving a cloud of uncertainty over the date of his return to India.

IT and Communications Minister Pramod Mahajan had told reporters that he had talked to Jain who in turn had expressed hope that Polaris would be able to resolve the dispute with the Indonesian bank by Monday or Tuesday.

The minister had also said that the Indian embassy had assured the Indonesian authorities that it would not cause any obstruction to the investigations.
