The Employees Provident Fund Organisation will soon allot a unique, permanent identity number, called the Social Security Number (SSN) to all EPF members in the country.
This identity of the worker will ensure continuation of his membership and consequent PF benefits in spite of change of employment or change in place of job, the labour ministry said on Thrusday.
It also said that cases of violations of the EPF Act have going up by 20.8 per cent compared to the previous year.
