Close on the heels of Pakistani parliamentarians' visit to the country, a Pakistani trade delegation would arrive in New Delhi on a two-day visit from June 27-28.

The two-day meet to be organised by the federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry would hold one-on-one business meetings to facilitate actual business deals.

"The delegation's visit has been finalised and the president of Indo-Pak Chamber of Commerce and Industry Senator Ilyas Ahmed Bilour will head the team of 40-60 members," Ficci sources said.

The delegation would also discuss macro-level trade issues including unofficial trade and infrastructure problems while looking into the reasons for low volumes of bi-lateral trade.

They would also make recommendations to the two governments for the creation of a conducive policy environment to promote business.

There would be a mini exhibition of key Indian products "to give a feel of the potential to the delegation and to convince the governments of India and Pakistan to lift the ban on several items," the sources said adding the Pakistani side would bring along catalogues and brochures to be put up at the trade show.

"Due to space constraint, the Pakistani delegation will not be able to showcase their machinery and other such big products," they said.
