Alstom Power India Ltd said it signed a Euro 50 million (Rs 2500 million) contract with Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd, India, for the supply of major hydro-generating plant equipment for the 400 MW (4 x 100 MW) Vishnuprayag hydroelectric project located on the Alaknanda river in Uttaranchal.
